With the nose being the central point in the face, it is very defining for the overall aesthetic of the face. When you are not happy with its shape this can be of a big influence to your self-confidence. A small alteration with regards to the aesthetics can already make a great difference, which makes nose remodeling a very popular surgery. Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a ’nose job’, can dramatically improve the aesthetic of the nose. In some cases it also improves the respiratory function. Remodeling the nose can reduce an overly large nose and add form and volume to a small nose. The procedure can also reshape the nose to correct bumps and other distortions. The result is a more balanced, harmonious facial appearance. In the following menu you can find more information on rhinoplasty. Procedure
There are two surgical approaches for this procedure – Open Rhinoplasty and Closed Rhinoplasty. During most surgeries it is possible to make use of the Closed Rhinoplasty technique. This involves making an incision inside the nostrils. In other cases it might be necessary to perform Open Rhinoplasty, during which an incision is made from outside the nose. Splints are usually placed inside the nose following surgery to maintain shape while the area heals. Because the nose is such a defining part of your face, it is of utmost importance that the aesthetic wishes and current dissatisfaction are analyzed during a non-committal consultation with Dr. Fantozzi.
